This explains what personal data Bookeze collects, why, and your rights. The data controller for the Bookeze platform is Bookeze Ltd (registered in England and Wales, company number 17401188, registered office 10 Crown Close, Norwich, NR14 7FN). Each business you book with is a separate controller for the data it holds about you as its customer.

What we collect

  • Customers: name, phone and/or email, the bookings you make (service, time, business), notes you add, quote requests, reviews you leave, and — if you create an account — your login email.
  • Businesses: your account email, business details you enter (name, address, postcode, phone, services, staff names and hours, photos, accreditations), your customers' details that you enter or import, and bookings.
  • Technical: IP address, device/browser type and basic usage logs, for security and to keep the Service working.

Why we use it

  • To provide the Service: showing businesses, taking and managing bookings, sending confirmations, reminders and quote updates (contract / legitimate interests).
  • To keep the platform safe: fraud and abuse prevention, security logs (legitimate interests).
  • To improve the Service using aggregate, de-identified usage data (legitimate interests).
  • Marketing only where you've opted in; you can opt out any time.

Who sees it

  • The business you book with sees your booking details and contact info. They must only use it to serve you.
  • Service providers that host and run Bookeze (database/hosting, email and SMS delivery, error monitoring, map/geocoding). They process data on our instructions.
  • Stripe, our payment provider, when a business subscribes. Card details go directly to Stripe and never touch Bookeze's servers; see Stripe's own privacy policy for how they handle payment data.
  • Authorities where the law requires.
  • We don't sell personal data.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies: keeping you signed in and remembering your theme. Because they are strictly necessary, no consent banner is needed. No advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

Bookings and related records are kept while the relevant account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for records, disputes and legal obligations. You can delete your account at any time (see below); we'll remove or anonymise your personal data except where we have to keep it.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent. Customers can download their data and delete their account from My bookings; businesses can export bookings and customers from the dashboard and delete their business account from the dashboard. For anything else email info@bookeze.co.uk. You can also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest; access is restricted by role and row-level security so each business can only see its own data. No system is perfectly secure — tell us straight away if you think your account has been compromised.

International transfers

Our providers may process data outside the UK/EEA under appropriate safeguards (such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses).

Changes

We'll post updates here and notify you of material changes. Questions: info@bookeze.co.uk.
